WHY A SET MENU?
In order to offer our Citizens a seamless and impeccable food service experience, we require that large party reservations of 10 or more choose from one of our seasonal family-style set menu options, beginning at $40 per guest.
WHAT IS ‘FAMILY STYLE?’
Family-style service incorporates large platters of food, which are plated center-table for sharing, just as you would at a big family dinner. Guests help themselves and nobody leaves hungry!
You may choose to pre-order a cake for your event. Our standard size serves 25 guests for $50, while our larger size serves 50 guests for $100. We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for cake orders.
OUTSIDE DÉCOR / FOOD / BEVERAGE
Outside décor is considered a safety hazard and is not permitted within the venue. In addition, we are unable to accept outside cake, cupcakes, or dessert of any kind, as we cannot account for allergens coming in to the kitchen environment. In accordance with our liquor licensing regulations, we are not permitted to allow our guests to bring in their own wine nor alcohol.
Due to the busy nature of the venue, all seated reservations at The Citizen Restaurant + Bar have a maximum seating window of 2 hours. At 10pm, our DJ begins to spin top 40, old school hip-hop, and well-known house tracks. At this point, the room begins to transition; tables and chairs are removed from the floor to make way for the volume of people coming in. Any tables remaining are reserved for table service. For this reason, we are unable to seat Citizens arriving more than 15 minutes past their designated reservation time as it prevents each group from enjoying a full and unrushed meal before the party portion of the evening begins. That being said, we do require 100% of the party to be present within the 15-minute grace period.
For your convenience, an automatic 18% gratuity is applied to the final bill for any party of 6 guests or more. At your own discretion, you may increase the percentage of gratuity.
We are unable to split bills for large parties; however we will accept multiple methods of payment (i.e. one bill, four different credit cards.)
Walk-in Citizens are welcome to stop by without a reservation from Tuesday-Thursday; however, we operate on a strict reservation-only policy on Fridays and Saturdays. We encourage you to make your reservations via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In order to formally book and confirm your group reservation, we require a confirmed guest count and menu selection along with a Large Party Contract to be completed and sent back to us. A credit card number and a pre-authorized deposit of $10 per person are taken as a security measure. We require 48 hours notice for changes in guest count and cancellation. The card on file is only charged in the event that late cancellation occurs. The pre-authorized deposit is applied to the full cost of any missing person’s dinner night-of.
During the summer months, the patio is open to our Citizens on a first-come first-served basis. The patio offers seating for 50 guests in total and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm-10pm.
*Note: A two-hour seating limit applies to all guests dining on the patio.
Looking to host the perfect summer cocktail reception? The Patio can be booked for buyouts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for groups of 50 or less.
Minimum Spend: $5,000.00 plus applicable taxes and gratuities.
